After a remarkably parallel upbringing to the West Coast Caribou chapter members and a stint in the military, I relocated from Virginia to Northern California in 1971.  In 1972 I hired Paul Ebert and Kane Healy to fix my purple VW van.  They then hired me as a mechanic and it's been downhill ever since.  Suffice it to say, tales of Northern California caribou herds' escapades are legend and endless.
